Someone wrote this on a friend's comment about her son being up all night:
"Isn't being a Mom amazing. Erica sleeps through the night now, but I do remember waking up in the middle of the night and seeing her beautiful smile. I miss the late night bonding."
To which I want to say "what the fuck do you feed your kid to make her smile at night? When mine's up five times a night, most nights, he's screaming about something."
Motherhood is amazing, but 16 months of no sleep has me feeling like the only thing I want to bond with at 9 pm, 11 pm, 1 am, 3 am and 5 am is my MATTRESS!
Without a word of alie, I didn't get more than 2 hours sleep last night.
