I had a thought today that made me sad...
My son has a birthmark on the left side of his nose. It was very dark purple at birth and has lightened to dark red.
They told us it might lighten more as he gets older, but it probably will never go away...
I don't know how I'll cope with kids teasing him. It's inevitable... he has a birthmark on his face, after all... a red nose at that... and I can already hear the kids singing Rudolph... and I already hurt for my son.
One thing I never did was tease kids for things they could not change...
