I have good friends... all across this country... people to laugh with... and who love me... who are warm and giving...

For the most part, who takes the time to realize that? Certainly I take it for granted... Today I sat in a room with everyone I work with... or used to work with... friends I've made over the last five great years... it takes my mother-in-law, who might be the greatest of them all to say...

"You are lucky to have so many good people in this city who genuinely love you. It was nice to finally meet them all... They're good people and they reflect you well."

If I only do this once... that was the loveliest bridal shower I could have hoped for.
